In just 2 weeks, Yéo recorded the following statistics in his journal dated March 11, 2019:
Challenge 27 students to be trained in evangelism and get involved in a Bible Study
3 accepted the challenge to be coached in evangelism
5 said yes to going to a Bible Study
3 actually went to the Bible Study
Yéo shared the gospel with 3 new students
His next objectives are to start 2 new Bible Studies, challenge 20 more students to be trained in evangelism and share the gospel with 10 more
Wow!! This is just one of the many students Craig (long-term Cru staff in Ivory Coast) is discipling. And what a blessing for me to tag along, while coaching Craig, as he met with Yéo who’s currently a junior at Agitel University in Abidjan.
Back in the Spring of 2017, Craig’s team was hosting a training for Key Volunteer students from campuses all over Ivory Coast. Sere, was one of the students attending from the city of Daloa. His group practiced finding key volunteers at Agitel University and that is when he met Yéo. Sere shared the gospel with him and found out he had recently become a Christian, after coming from a Muslim background, but wasn’t active in his faith. So he challenged Yéo to get discipled and begin leading a spiritual movement on his campus.
Yéo obviously said yes, so Sere introduced him to Craig who’s been meeting with him ever since. And this Easter Sunday, Yéo was baptized!
