Imagine the coldest temperature you’ve ever experienced, and then subtract that by 70 degrees (fahrenheit). That was what it felt like for Kouadio, the National Campus Director in Ivory Coast, who joined us at the Denver Winter Conference to recruit students to take the gospel overseas.
In the picture above, we had over 150 students attend our International Internship (Stint) luncheon. Having Cru national staff, such as Kouadio and several others from different countries, helped us tremendously in casting vision for what the Lord is doing around the world. The Denver Winter Conference was a great place to share with students the many opportunities they have to shine the love of Christ to all the nations!
About a week later, we headed to the Spain Midyear Conference which is for all our International Interns serving in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Nearly all of these interns are fresh out of college taking a year of their life to do campus ministry at one of these international locations.
For some, they’ve not been able to worship Jesus aloud or in public settings the entire fall semester. And for those who could, it was most likely in a foreign language. So coming to this Midyear Conference is a huge breath of fresh air to them.
In the picture above, Kelli is leading the training for all our midyear coaches. With close to 200 interns at this conference, we all had very full schedules. What a blessing though to come alongside and hear not only what the Lord has been teaching them this year, but also how He is using them in amazing ways!!
